Dr. Tim & Karen Harper, Regional Bishop

Dr. Tim Harper is currently the Regional Bishop for the Church of God of Prophecy in the Great Lakes Region (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin).  Dr. Harper began his ministry in 1981.  He has served as Kentucky State Youth Director and held pastorates in Kentucky and Michigan.

 

He was educated at Kentucky Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts both in Bible and in Psychology, with a minor in Languages.  He graduated magna cum laude.  He holds a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Christian University, and a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, where he graduated with high honors.  His Doctor of Ministry degree is in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary. In 2015 he began post-doctoral studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Islamic Studies and Arabic. In 2017 he began working on a second doctoral degree, a PhD in World Religions at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with emphasis in Islamic Studies.

 

Dr. Harper was in private practice as a psychotherapist for five (5) years at a counseling agency in Dearborn, Michigan. He was a licensed clinician in Michigan for over a decade. He is also a nationally certified Healthy Congregations facilitator.

                

Dr. Harper has served the Church of God of Prophecy internationally as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tomlinson Center from 2004 to 2012. At the 2016 International Assembly he was appointed to the Assembly Bible Doctrine and Polity committee. At the 2018 International Assembly he was also appointed as Chairman of the International Presbytery Review Board. Dr. Harper has also served as the Chairman for the North American Restoration Task Force. Dr. Harper is currently a member of the Leadership Council for the North American General Presbyter.

Tim has taught in leadership and pastoral conferences both throughout the United States and internationally. Tim and Karen have been guest presenters at several Marriage Enrichment Retreats across the United States. He is also an adjunct professor at Lee University having taught courses in both the Old and New Testaments, and in Pastoral Studies including Counseling, Christian Family, Preaching, and Pastoral Ministry. He is also an adjunct professor for the Accredited Ministry Department (COGOP) and Pentecostal Theological Seminary.

Tim is a dedicated husband and father. He and his wife Karen were married October 18, 1985. They have three children, Brittany (married to Steven Salisbury), Chandler and Stetson (married to Miranda). As a family, they enjoy celebrating the holidays, vacationing, and camping. Tim enjoys his hunting trips with his son, Chandler.

Karen Harper, Executive Assistant

Karen is a graduate of Sullivan University with a diploma as an Executive Secretary.  She has served as the Administrative Secretary to the Director of Procurement for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Office Manager of Harvest Worship Center in Taylor, Michigan.  She currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Regional Overseer of the Great Lakes Region and is the Web Master for the Great Lakes.  Karen has worked in the local church since she was 13 years of age – beginning as a Sunday School Teacher.  She now speaks at Ladies Conferences and has faithfully served alongside her husband, traveling thousands of miles across the region.  Tim and Karen will celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary on October 18th.  The Harpers have three children: Brittany (33) who is a graduate of Madonna University with a Bachelor’s degree in sign language interpretation and is a graduate of Lee University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is married to Steven Salisbury; Chandler (28), has a degree in EMT services and is now a truck driver delivering essentials aross many miles; and, Stetson (27) who is a Second grade Teacher at Henryville Elementary School in Henryville, IN, and is a graduate of Lee University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies and Leadership, and a Masters Degree in Early Education, and is to Miranda (Berry).  Karen has homeschooled all three of her children.

Rebecca Dudding, Regional Treasurer & Pastoral Care Co-Director

Becky has served as the Regional Treasurer for the Great Lakes Region for 6 years.   In addition to her position as Regional Treasurer, Becky has worked in the Accounting Department for a management company for the last 19 years.  She has worked as an Accountant for the last 12 years.   She has a Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting and an MBA in Accounting.   Becky also serves the Great Lakes Conference & Camping Ministries as a Coordinator and Business Manager.   Over the years, she has severed in many positions in her local church and in youth camp ministries.   She has taught Sunday School, children’s church, led Bible Studies and served on various worship teams as vocalist & keyboardist.   Becky has served in youth camp ministry as Cabin Leader, Dean, Coordinator & Co-director.  

Becky served in the pastoral ministry for many years with her late husband, Paul Dudding.  They were blessed with two sons, Paul Duane & Brent.  They have added to the family with daughter-in-law Megan (Paul Duane) and granddaughter Lakelynn.

Diana McCoy, Stewardship and Family, Pastoral Care Co-Director

Diana current resides in Spencer, IN with her husband Ralph. Diana has one daughter, Tammy and one son Allen, three grandchildren Tyler, Stephanie, and Austin, and one great-granddaughter, Kate.   Diana is blessed to serve the Great Lake Region as Family/Stewardship Heritage Care, Missions & Harvest Partners & Pastoral Care Co-Director.

Pastor Tammy Lowe, Women's Ministries Director

Tammy Lowe is married to Scot Lowe. They have one son, Tyler, and a daughter-in-law, Sylvia. They also have a granddog, Nyla. Tammy serves as the Women’s Director for the Church of God of Prophecy Great Lakes Region which serves Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. She also travels as a retreat speaker and has worked with the International Women’s Director of the Church of God of Prophecy in several retreats as a speaker. Paul & Megan Dudding

Paul D. Dudding currently serves as the pastor for the Church of God of Prophecy in Scottsburg, IN. He is married to Megan Dudding and they are blessed with a daughter, Lakelynn (7), and a son, Lincoln (3). Paul has served the Scottsburg church for the past 16 years in various capacities. First as a youth leader from 2007-2013, as a pastor in training from 2013-2015, and as pastor from 2015- to present day. Paul and Megan have served in the Great Lakes camping ministry as cabin leaders, deans, and class facilitators. Most recently, in December of 2022, Paul received a certificate in Ministry and Theological Studies from the Spirit and Life Seminary.
