Great Lakes 2021 Ladies Conference

Announcement by bishop harper about the 2021 ladies conference

We continue to navigate the ministry challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to return to in-person regional events. The reality, however, is that most of our churches are still at a significant reduced congregational capacity due to the pandemic. Although the current positivity rate seems to be declining, challenges remain for large gatherings from multiple states and locales. The difficulty in hosting regional gatherings are also complicated due to the decreased vaccination rate when compared to the initial projections. Social distancing remains a constant requirement in convention centers and presents substantive challenges for meeting space. Given all of these variables, it is with regret that we must announce the cancelation of the 2021 Ladies’ Conference in Shipshewana, Indiana. I apologize for any disappointment and inconvenience this may cause; however, our goal is to keep our people safe and healthy. Our Ladies’ Ministries director, Tammy Lowe, is currently working on scheduling for the 2022 conference. An announcement about the date will be forthcoming.
